Contractor’s Representative: Doug Bodley has more than 18 years of extensive practical experience from consulting engineering project supervision including design issues and resolutions, contractor/client/engineer liaison, monthly reporting, progress claim checking, and variation approvals. His experience includes roles as civil designer engineer for Manukau Consultants and GHD Ltd, and four years of overseas experience at Entec Ltd (UK) and Faber Manusell (UK). He has had more than 10 years’ hands-on experience as a contractor and the ability to solve problems/situations innovatively, using his design knowledge.
Contract management: Doug has extensive contract management experience. He has worked as a consulting engineer, with responsibilities for programming, scheduling, application of resources, progress and variation claims, etc.
Being a director of BCL, Doug is responsible for running all major projects over the last 10 years
Quality management: Doug is leading our company’s preparation for QEST registration with the NZ Contractor’s Federation. As part of this process, he has responsibility for quality management, including for the company’s adherence to the QEST quality system and to clients’ quality requirements. In addition, Doug has considerable experience during his 15 years as a consulting engineer working with the ISO 9001 quality system, PQP preparation, controlled and non-conformance documentation.
Safety management: As a consulting engineer for 15 years, Doug has extensive experience in project supervision ensuring contractors conform to the client’s safety requirements. Duties involved high level safety management, site evaluations, non-conformance monitoring and documentation. Currently responsible for implementation of planning, review and evaluation of BCL’s H&S safety system.
Corey has a broad knowledge as a project manager, site foreman and safety supervisor on construction projects.
His strong analytical skills enable him to see how each element of a project fits into the ‘bigger picture’ – and to overcome any difficulties on site as they arise.

Safety supervision: With 35 years of experience on construction sites in New Zealand and overseas, Corey has worked as a project manager/ safety supervisor on various construction projects up to $20 million. His roles have involved safety evaluations, hazard identification, toolbox meetings, non-conformance monitoring and documentation, safety training, incident reports and incident follow-up evaluations. Corey has 20 years’ experience and extensive knowledge of framing, concreting, boxing and pre-cast erection. He is currently responsible for day-to-day health and safety implementation and training and works concurrently with safety manager to ensure that all visitors and workers are safe on site.
Contractor’s site representative: Corey has 35 years’ experience in the construction industry including as project manager, site foreman and safety supervisor on construction projects up to $20 million. Corey has an excellent knowledge of contract requirements, processes, programming, sequencing, client/engineer liaison. He is experienced in the day-to-day running of projects and is a first point of contact on-site for clients and subcontractors. He is responsible for the implementation of our PROCORE Project management system on a daily basis on BCL sites.
Geoff has recently retired from BCL, however still plays an active role as a construction consultant.
He has 5 decades of high level construction and contract experience having worked for Fletcher Construction on some large projects before starting formerly Keystone Construction then Bodley Construction in conjunction with Doug and Corey.
While working for Fletchers some of the projects he completed were, Aotea Centre ($280million), St Lukes Shopping Centre ($130million), Brickfield House ($2million) Massey University ($1.4million in 13 weeks).

Project Manager: Geoff has prepared, implement and managed numerous major projects over the past 48 years-plus, including work on St Lukes Shopping Centre, Aotea Centre, 24-apartments (George St Apartments), in which Geoff was responsible for project managing and overseeing all construction activities and subcontractors .
